Accident insurance is something that can be a supplement to your regular health insurance that will help compensate for lost wages due to broken bones, etc.   These policies normally have specific payouts for various injuries, as well as accidental dismemberment and death benefits.

These policies are not a replacement for health insurance, nor are they a replacement for worker’s compensation insurance.  However, if you happen to be in a job not covered by worker’s compensation, please contact me as there is one specific plan that will cover work related accidents and I can direct you to this.

*** I have personally purchased Allstate’s “Plan Enhancer” policy that is a great option for health insurance plans that have a large deductible.  This policy is appropriate to supplement both employer group health insurance or health insurance purchased on the marketplace.
